in HBR Consulting, National Law Journal, and Corporate Legal Operations Consortium surveys

Legal Tracker is recognized as leading matter management and e-billing platform

February 20, 2018

Thomson Reuters today announced that market-leading e-billing and matter management system, Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker™ has received top accolades across three high profile legal industry reports: the HBR Consulting Annual Law Department Survey, the Best of the National Law Journal, and the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) State of the Industry Survey. Positioned among other top providers, Legal Tracker is proud to be recognized as a market leader based on client satisfaction.

Among the awards, Legal Tracker received the highest satisfaction scores for both e-billing and matter management in addition to being the most widely used e-billing system for the past three years in the HBR Law Department Survey. In addition, Legal Tracker took first place for Matter Management Software in the National Law Journal survey. This win propelled Legal Tracker into the Hall of Fame, designated for companies that have won the same category three out of the last four years. Finally, in the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium’s first-ever State of the Industry Survey, Legal Tracker ranked as the most widely used e-billing system by more than double the next closest competitor.

About the Surveys

The HBR Law Department Survey is the longest running source of benchmarking data for U.S. and global law departments. In addition to assessing law department performance and trends, the survey also explores law department participants’ use and satisfaction of various legal technologies. The participants, which represent nearly 300 law departments in the U.S. and globally, were asked to rate tools in the following categories: contract management, e-Discovery collection, matter management, workflow, e-billing, legal spend analytics, document management, and more. For the last six years, the National Law Journal (NLJ) has conducted a survey asking its readers to rank top providers in the legal marketplace. From data, research, and technology to finance, expert witness, and outsourced services, this survey highlights the businesses and individuals seen as the best in the industry. In all, the legal community cast over 4,500 votes to select the 2017 Best of The National Law Journal winners. The Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) is comprised of a diverse set of legal operations professionals who work at Fortune 500, medium-sized, and small-sized companies, government entities, and educational institutions. Their first-ever State of the Industry Survey was based on data collected from 156 members of CLOC across 11 countries, representing 32 industries.
