Eric Ruud, Managing Director
Eric leads the combined Elite and Legal Tracker organizations for Thomson Reuters, working with the executive teams of both businesses to map out a long-term strategy that emphasizes new connections between corporate legal departments and their law firms. His passion involves building an even stronger legal ecosystem by spurring the development of innovative solutions to help our clients’ legal operations perform better.
Eric joined Thomson Reuters in 2009 and most recently served as managing director of the ONESOURCE Indirect and Property Tax business, overseeing global operations and strategic business initiatives. His background is in enterprise-level software companies, including careers with Sybase, Documentum, Extensity, and Sabrix. Additionally, Eric has more than 25 years in sales management.
Eric graduated with a bachelor's of science from the University of Utah and earned his executive MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
E. M. "Eddie" Pasatiempo, Vice President, Customer Operations
Eddie has more than 25 years of senior executive management experience in the technology and professional services sectors.
Prior to joining Legal Tracker in 2010, Eddie worked in senior management for IBM, EDS, and Korn/Ferry International. He has also been involved with early-stage companies backed by Paul Allen’s Vulcan Ventures and has held the role of President at both private and public companies.
Eddie received his Bachelor of arts degree in communications at the University of Washington (where he was recently inducted to the 2010 UW Department of Communications Hall of Fame), and during his tenure at IBM, was selected to attend the IBM Executive Program at Harvard. He has served on the board (ex-officio) of the University of Washington, Board of Regents; past President of the University of Washington Alumni Association and currently is Chair, Seattle University Albers School of Business Executive Board. Industry affiliations include board member and former Chair of the Washington Technology Industry Association, and Advisory Board member of Harris Private Bank.
Elisabet Hardy, Vice President of Product Management
Elisabet is responsible for leading the Legal Tracker Product Management, Marketing and Communications, and Strategic Alliances Teams. She is accountable for new product development, roadmap and product lifecycle strategies, product integration, market positioning, and communications.
Elisabet has over 18 years of experience building top-performing product management and product marketing teams for software companies. Recently, Elisabet was vice president of Product Management & Product Marketing at Approva Corporation, a Virginia-based provider of continuous controls monitoring (CCM) software that enables Fortune 1000 companies to reduce fraud, manage risk, and streamline audits. In this role, she was responsible for developing product vision, market strategy, and roadmaps for all of Approva’s products. While at Approva, Elisabet developed and launched three major releases in two years expanding the company’s target market for both commercial and federal sectors, and making Approvathe leading CCM provider in the industry.
Elisabet earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
Eric Sugden, Chief Technology Officer
Eric is responsible for leading the Legal Tracker technology team, including software development and IT operations. Eric has spent more than 20 years developing enterprise-class, high-transaction software and currently manages technology for Thomson Reuters’ newly formed Legal Enterprise Solutions business which includes the Legal Tracker and Elite solutions.
Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Eric was managing director of Technology at Investment Technology Group (ITG), a leader in electronic trading technology. At ITG, Eric led teams in building execution management systems, algorithmic trading services, and high transaction trading solutions.
Eric has extensive experience in low-latency real-time systems, enterprise architecture, and improving the quality of the user experience. Prior to joining ITG, Eric worked for several years in the artificial intelligence industry building expert system tools for the help-desk community and developing image analysis algorithms for the defense industry.
Eric earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of California, Los Angeles, and his master's degree in applied math from USC.
Rob Gitell, Sr. Director of Global Sales
Rob is responsible for leading Legal Tracker sales success in the US and international markets. In his role, Rob leads both Legal Tracker Sales and Support Teams and works closely with the field sales representatives that help our corporate clients worldwide.
Rob has been with Thomson Reuters since 1998 and Legal Tracker since 2010. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Rob was a practicing CPA working with corporate and law firm clients. As a CPA, Rob consulted with law firms to automate their business processes at Phoenix firms, including Bonn, Luscher, Padden & Wilkins.
Rob holds a bachelor of arts degree in business from the University of Connecticut and earned his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Adam Blake, Corporate Counsel
Adam currently manages all legal matters pertaining to Legal Tracker, provides general corporate and commercial legal advice to the management team, and is primarily responsible for drafting, negotiating, and coordinating all customer-facing agreements, including master service agreements, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, and statements of work.
Prior to joining Legal Tracker, Adam worked in private practice in Seattle, specializing in tax litigation. In addition to representing clients at all stages of litigation in front of the United States Tax Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Adam also provided estate and business planning services.
Adam received his bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law.
